Zhaga meeting takes place in Milan

Posted on Monday March 25 2013, by Tim Whitaker

The 21st Zhaga meeting took place in Milan, Italy, on March 19-21, 2013. Members of the Zhaga Consortium, which is developing interface specifications for LED light engines, discussed recent progress including the publication of the Book 2 specification.

Zhaga is working towards initiating the certification procedures for other Books. Currently, official Zhaga certification can only be achieved for products designed according to Books 2 and 3, but many companies have also designed products that are compliant with the other Zhaga Books.

Zhaga works to ensure that its specifications are maintained and updated. The consortium will shortly publish new and improved versions of both Book 1 (general information applying to all the other Books) and Book 7 (light engines intended for indoor applications).

The Milan meeting was hosted by Underwriters Laboratories, who also provided a tour of their nearby test and measurement facility (see photo).
