In addition, one year from now the regulation will change as well. This already has an impact on business today. In this session, Jacob will go into the impact of the changes and what you need to do to stay compliant. The new Energy Labeling directive is aimed at making end-users more aware of energy consumption and driving the production of energy efficient products. This will help in, amongst others, reducing energy consumption.

Developments at Zhaga Dee Denteneer, Secretary General, Zhaga Consortium

The Zhaga Consortium is continuously working on sustainability. With the wide adoption of Zhaga modules in the market, the time is right to start working on the replaceability and interoperability of modules. Zhaga is extending its scope from LED lighting engines to, amongst others, drivers, connectors used in IoT solutions, and heat sinks, expanding the life and upgradeability of luminaires, while decreasing the amount of materials needed.

Recycling Martijn Geertzen, Standardization Consultant, NEN

Martijn will dive into the short and long-term development of standards for product recycling and repairs. The new standards are partly funded by European Union funds. There will be more stringent regulations for Eco design. The new standards will be used as part of the new regulations.
