Zhaga signs liaison agreement with TEAS

The Zhaga Consortium is pleased to announce that it has signed a new liaison agreement with Technical Evaluation Alliance for Solid State Lighting (TEAS), a lighting-industry organization based in Beijing, China.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Hua Shuming, Secretary General of TEAS, and Mr. Musa Unmehopa, Secretary General of Zhaga (see photos).

TEAS creates evaluation methodology that enables the full-scale quality evaluation of solid-state lighting (SSL). The organization also creates classification and interface standards for SSL that enable interchangeability in lighting functions and installation.

Both TEAS and Zhaga believe that lighting stakeholders, including industrial manufacturers, governments, and end users, will benefit from the availability of interchangeable LED light products, coupled with a methodology for quality evaluation.

The two organizations will cooperate and share information about their progress in the creation of specifications and related materials.

The agreement with TEAS is the latest in a series of liaisons between Zhaga and other lighting-industry organizations.
